I've had my MBP for two weeks, and it's been running fine. About a week ago, I noticed the eject key, right arrow key, and esc key are all tilted inward, and the f1-f12 keys don't seem to line up with each other. Now I can't stop noticing it. It looks like the tilt is becoming more pronounced, but it could be the fact that I'm looking for it.

I called AppleCare and they agreed to fix/replace the keyboard along with look at the whine issue. Is it worth sending in?

I'm assuming it's free for me, but I've heard stories of people getting theirs back in worse shape than it left in. Taking the keys off and reattaching doesn't seem to help.

Funny thing. I read this thread to see if it was a new problem with MBPs. As I read it I tilted back my 12 inch powerbook that I have had for 2 years and noticed the exact same two keys have the exact same issues. So apparently, its not MBP specific. It took me 2 years to notice this.

Maybe MBP owners are a little too paranoid?
