Now that the C2duo MBP is out does anyone know if it is possible to swap out the logic board on a Core Duo MBP and replace it with a newer C2duo logic board.

Little grey, chilly island.
The ports wouldn't align probably unless you were swapping out the 17inch version. The new 15" has firewire 800, the other did not.

Besides which, I don't see why on earth you'd perform this procedure when you can sell second hand and re-buy cheaper. Plus, the speed difference between models wouldn't be enough to qualify an upgrade for most people!

Yes it is the 17'' version and I can get the logic board for about 400 the 2.33 Ghz... Would selling and buying cost me more...? Unless someone on here wants to take the 17'' 2gb ram 120gb hd MBP off my hands for a resonable price of course...

I want the 64bit for future proof. I dont want to deal with not having that when leapord comes out.

Then get a computer with 64bit data bus, really, all this I need 64bit crap is stupid. It only has handful of 64bit registers, a half-ass 64bit enable chipset, not a true 64bit computer.
