Did anyone have the whining logic board replaced in the UK? How long did it take? I keep reading about people in US or Canada using authorized apple centers to replace the mlb. Is there such thing in UK?

There are plenty of authorised Apple dealers in the UK. I'd also like to know who in the UK had their logic board replaced due to the whine and if you sent it back or took it in.

AppleCare in the UK tried to tell me that my week 10 MBP already had a "new" logic board in it so I just laughed. Hoping that the independent Apple retailer I took mine to will replace it.

Are you saying that you already took yours to an apple retailer?

Yes mine's there. Had to go in due to a broken harddrive (which magically started working again once they got it!) but I asked them and AppleCare to replace the logic board as well. Not sure if they will though.
