Good Morning MacRumors,

I admit defeat, I cant work it!

I have the MBP M1 Pro and want to dock it (screen shut) and use 2 external monitors (49inc ultra wide & LG Duel Up).

What dock can I use to do this....only need a few other ports ( 2 x USB and 2 x USB C )

Ideally want a single (longish 1m) cable to the laptop, then have the dock under the desk.

I have tried the following but does not seam to work;

- https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08HRRWKBG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-Thund...13753&sprefix=thunderbolt+dock,aps,110&sr=8-4

Any ideas / help?

I use the Razer Chroma TB4 dock and find it great, and had no issues when running both a 5k2k and 4K monitor with my 14” Max MBP (am now just running the 5k2k on its own). Unless there is something funky with one or both of the two monitors you have the Razer or alternatively the Caldigit or OWC TB docks should all work fine.

I tried a bunch of cheap docks with mixed results and wasn’t impressed with any of them. I ended up spending the money on a Caldigit dock and never looked back.

Another vote for the CalDigit. It has worked really well with my M1 Pro.

I had a Lenovo dock that I used for a while, but it would lock up from time to time. I also tested a few of the cheap Amazon docks with my old Intel MBP - and they would get hot to the touch at the port. I stopped using them for fear of frying the computer!
