Hey, have a fairly common issue of waking my MBP up from sleep in the morning and finding it hot. I don't leave any apps running overnight, I sleep the computer and close the lid.

I've checked activity monitor for anything unusual, nothing seems to be using huge amounts of CPU or Memory. This can't be good for the longevity of the laptop so I'd like to see if anyone else has this issue, cheers.

The standard advice would [probably] be to check your logs and activity monitor.
(SOMETHING is running and causing a lot of CPU activity, keeping it hot.)

But... my "Fishrrman advice" is different:
Why don't you just SHUT DOWN the computer at night?
If you do so, I GUARANTEE that it won't be hot in the morning.
