Dose anyone here own a Apple desktop computer ?
I have been a member here for a long time and seems like over 80 percent of mac users (not just here but everywhere) use a MBP as their main PC. I know they look cute and all that but what is so great about these all so famous Mac book pros ?
Compared to Apple desktop models ? MBPs must be awesome because everyone seems to be trading in their old macs so they can buy a MBP.

Yes, there are many people who have purchased Apple notebooks, but just as many, if not more people own a desktop. A notebook computer such as the PB or MBP has a certain convenience given it's portability, compared to a desktop computer. So they certainly are a popular choice.

A good majority of people here do own a Apple desktop or Apple desktops. :)

I for one, in addition to my 2GHz MacBook Pro, own a 2.3GHz DP Power Mac G5. :)

I don't own an Apple desktop. I own a MBP. For one thing, it just had more screen real estate than the Macbook and Powerbook G4. Besides, being a recent switcher, and one of the main motivations being that idiots at my school keep connecting to the wireless network with viruses on their computer.....

Also, graphics was very important to us. The ability to play Star Wars: Empire at War at full graphics was very important to us.

Same here, I just could not settle for a MacBook due to it's integrated graphics.

I'll be honest, i'd like a MacBook Pro that was silver so it would match my ACD and Mac Mini, in Silver

Honesly i'd rather see a 12' MBP at about 4lbs with, to replace the black MacBook. (But a Black MB at the same price as a white one)

With the same GPU as 15'' MacBook Pro( maybe at 64mbs)
