MBP Out in the Winter

I'm a college student and so far this summer and fall have been carrying my MBP around campus with me everyday. Now that the weather's starting to turn i'm wondering if i should still take it out if its below freezing (or any certain temperature)? Thanks

They're pretty sturdy.. Just use your common sense

Environmental parameters:
Min Operating Temperature: 10 °C
Max Operating Temperature: 35 °C
Humidity Range Operating: 0 - 90%

So the screen or anything wont be affected by the temperatures? I'm out for about 20 minutes at a time but i keep it in a waterproof messanger bag and would never directly expose it.

I believe your mac owners guide has the optimal operating tempratures you can referr to.
I too will take my laptop to and from work in freezing tempratures. It is fine for my walk lasting 20min or so. I would say to make sure there isnt any excess condensation and to let it warm up in room temprature for a bit.
You should be okay if its withen reason.

I dont see any issues as long as you bring it back indoors prior to starting it back up.

I agree... even perhaps waiting a few minutes before starting it back up. Let it get it's temp back up a lil before starting it. Especially do this if it has an LCD screen. LCD screens seem to be worse that anything (except CRT ) when it comes to cold/warm temp. changes.

Just shut it off before transporting it and you'll be fine.

??? All MBPs, and MBs (and laptops in general, i believe) have LCDs...

To the OP: The MBP will probably be fine as long as *you* are comfortable with the temperature, that is, it's not advisable to use it on below zero temperatures, but neither are you supposed to be standing outside at those temperatures. As long as you carry it around in a bag, and use it indoors, it should be fine. As others have said, let it warm up a little bit, you don't want to crack the LCD, or anything else for that matter. (And don't leave it all alone in the cold, it gets depressed [and the battery will probably freeze]).
