Hi guys,

I'm a little frustrated. My MacBook Pro's power adapter has been acting funny lately. Then I realized it's because my power adapter only works if you hold it a certain way. So I moved the clip that is near the magnet, and I saw the cord was a little deformed.

Anyway, I'm at a loss for what to do--do I call AppleCare, just go out and buy a new power adapter... totally at a loss.

Thanks,
John

Electricity is something you don't wanna mess around with. If its not working 100%, there could be a loose connection inside the connector, or within the wire coming from it. If you're still under warranty, call Apple and get it replaced asap.

I'll do that right when I get home from work. Thank you :D

If you get any hassle from Apple when claiming a replacement, make the point that it is a 'Safety-related issue' - this usually makes the rep a lot more willing to swap it out.
