*whimper* ...

i suddenly just became aware of a strange kind of hissing sound as i was busy sitting here working at the library... as i tried to find the source of this annoyance i was shocked to find that the noise was being issued from my MBP power supply!!! naturally i promptly disconnected it, but i have since reconnected it to test it etc, and the noise is getting progressively louder, its a really loud hissing / crackling kind of sound... in short it sounds (pun) like my POWER SUPPLY IS ABOUT TO BLOW UP!!!!

what do i do? help!!

... and hurry it up... i only have an hours power supply left :p:O!!

Personally, I'd unplug the thing right away. If its making noises like that, there may be a short in the PS. Take it into an Apple store (or closest available facsimile thereof) and have someone who knows what they're doing check it out.

If a genius refuses to replace it, plug it into an outlet in the apple store and show him.
