MBP: Problem with sound

I´m experiencing something weird with my MBP SR... With the sound turned off, I still hear "popping" from the speakers... like if I play a song (without sound), there will be a "pop" from the speakers just as the song starts...

Another thing... when using headphones... there is a lot of "sssshhhhhhh"ing (do not know the correct word in english).... background noise... why?

I have the same problem with the headphones. I think it's called white noise or just hissing.
