Hi All,

I was trying to install my own RAM in my MBP when, stupidly, I pushed down the new stick of RAM when it didn't line up with the metal prongs on the side.

Sooo now my RAM stick is stuck in a position where I can't pull it out and I can't push it in.

What should I do?

i'd personally try to yank it out, and probably break it accidentally.

i advise taking it to an apple store for help. otherwise, you risk losing $$... and RAM.

Continue to remain calm, take a few deep breaths, and maybe take up religion..........

No, Seriously, I would get a magnifying glass, a strong light and maybe a pair of tweezers, so I could see where the RAM is getting jammed, and try to ease it out, but be very gentle with the whole thing.......or take to an Apple store and put the cost factor out of you mind.........

What my stupidity looks like:

Widening those two silver latches won't permit the ram from being pulled out?

i don't see why you couldn't just yank the RAM out carefully and re-insert it from above at an angle. have you checked apple.com or your MBP user guide on how to install RAM?

The latches are already pushsed as far left as they can go. I'm trying to just pull it out but I'm worried that I will scratch or break something..

But back I go to pulling it out..

I guess that answers the age old question: "how many guys does it take to remove stuck ram?"
