Ok..this is a bit weird. My mbp randomly wakes from sleep with me 10 feet away not touching anything every so often. It turns on, gets to the password screen, and then after a minute it goes back to sleep. If i type in the password it works as normal. Still, it is annoying and shouldn't be happening. I'm mainly afraid of it turning on in my bag and getting messed up. It has happened before with the computer even unplugged from ethernet, no apps running, and unplugged from everything. What can I do to fix this?

bluetooth keyboard but my old comp(12" pb G4 running 10.4) with the same keyboard and setup had no such issue

Try disabling waking the computer from a Bluetooth device, found in System Preferences - Bluetooth.

My MBP does this, sometimes it will also wake up with a different brighteness level to the one that was set when it went to sleep.

I have no bluetooth or USB devices connected, bluetooth and wireless are off.

Any thoughts?

happened again. Seems to happen after about 20 minutes only at night...at least..only time i notice it

do kron scripts (sp) wake from sleep?

What mouse are you using? I've discovered my MS mouse goes into low power mode and causes the BT connection to drop out. This produces a brief pop-up (Connection Lost) and wakes my mac.
