MBP Refurbished? And a few other Q's...

After returning my mbp I am contemplating buying one again, this time the 2.0, and hoping to get a whine free unit. I have noticed that there are mbps in the refurb store already. My question is, saying I get a 2.16 refurb mbp and I am not happy with it or it displays the problems which I originally returned mine for, will I be entitled for a full refund? I am a law student, therefore am I entitled to a student discount for a refurb unit?

Saying I do not buy a refurb and I just buy the 2.0 stock, what are my chances of not getting a whiny mbp? How are the week 14's doing?

Another question, I am a law student in Spain and therefore I need a spanish keyboard. My question is, if i buy mine at my local store here in Miami, can I get a western spanish keyboard installed later on in Spain or elsewhere? Or does it have to come shipped from factory with spanish keyboard?

How many of you think I should wait to buy my laptop till my next academic year ( sometime in augost or september)? Right now I am using my 12" powerbook g4 1.0 which I am ok with now but I am craving a non whiney mbp!!!

So many questions and so little time, I am set to return to Spain at the end of this month and I would love to take my mbp, I would buy it in Spain but there is a BIG differance in $$.

Unfortunately, there is no student discount on refurbs, which negates a lot of the benefit.

I would wait and keep the 12-inch... it still has some life!

As for the keyboard, they are difficult to install, and usually the case gets slightly warped. I would order it with Spanish.

I do not want to order it spanish because if I do I have to order it online and that is something I will never do again due to having to pay the shipping for the return of my first mbp. So there is no way if I buy a normal mbp to have the spanish keyboard put on later? I know the 12 has some life left but it is getting slow. Another thing is that I am leaving the country and am not coming back till at least christmas next year, and I can not buy it in spain due to the high price differance.

Actually, I believe there *is* a student discount on refurbs - probably $100 off again.

Go through your school website and compare the refurb price to the non-school website to double-check.

An Apple technician can do it for you, but again, the aluminum will warp a little. It wasn't meant to be opened. You basically have to remove all of the screws, including those in the RAM slot and battery, so the top assembly can be taken off. If you don't mind, go for it.
