So for some reason, my remote doesn't work anymore. The batteries are fine, because I checked it with the iSight, and it blinks when I press a button. On Apple's support page, it says 'The "Disable remote control infrared receiver" checkbox in the Security pane of System Preferences is NOT checked.' My security pane doesn't have this option or any remote control options. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Gonna take a stab in the dark, did you try pairing the remote to the MBP?
There is an article over on apple support if you need instructions.

It doesn't do anything. It used to work without being paired, but now it doesn't. I tried pairing it, but I don't get the chain thing come up on the screen or anything.

I tried downloading the program "Sofa Control" which is like FrontRow on steroids, and this is the warning I get when I try to run it:

Any ideas?
