I just checked my event logs because I've been having my computer restart randomly (2.4sr mbp running xp sp2). It says:

The process winlogon.exe has initiated the restart of BRIANMBPXP for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found

and this leads to the remote procedure call crashed, causing my computer to count down before it restarts

Does anyone have any ideas?

No but I did notice that it happens when a problem on the network occurs (like the wless router dropping out or something similar.
It's something that I've had happen on other Windows computers when your try to fail over a network connection.

Even when you do stop the shutdown you're still going to reboot since new processes that are started won't work properly.

Hrm, I'm going to try downloading the atheros wless drivers rather than using the boot camp ones and see if that helps. Thanks for your insight.
