I'm having this weird issue where sometimes when my computer wakes up from sleep mode I'm unable to control the screen brightness. When I do this.. it says it's all the way at the bottom of it's brightness even though the screen is in it's brightest setting. Usually, I fix the problem by putting my MBP back into sleep mode and waking it up again... but it's starting to annoy me. Any ideas?

It actually doesn't matter if that box is checked or not... The only way I've been able to fix it is just putting it back into sleep mode, and then waking it back up...

create a new user and check if the problem persist with this new user too, if not you could just move all your stuff over (you might have some problems with permissions and stuff). as a try you can change the sleep mode, there is 3 different ones i think, to check if the problem goes away.
more info on sleep modes here

My mbp used to have this problem for the first few weeks, but after a software update, it went away. Update all your software and then see if it persists.
