hey i just checked out the mac store the other night- i saw that the new macbook pros' have upgraded the screens to the glossy version- is there anyway i can order the screen by it self. i want to get a hold of one to change up my screen.

The old pbfixit site sold PB screens by themselves for around $800.00. You might be able to find a glossy on ebay, but it's doubtful. But you could always shove a knife through your current MBP, send it to applecare, and tell them that you'll pick up the tab.

MBPs have had the option of glossy or matte screens for a while now...I'm not sure how lucky you'll be changing your screen from a matte to a glossy.

I think it would be too dificult to replace the screen yourself, not to mention expensive. Maybe it would be a better option to sell your computer and buy a new one with a glossy screen
