Hey Folks,

Yesterday I ordered a macbook pro from the apple website. I got a 2.4 15" with the glossy screen. When I got to the confirm page, it told me that it wasn't estimated to ship until Sept 12 - Sept 17. I'm really disappointed, as I need the thing quickly. Do you think it'll actually take that long to ship, or is apple just covering themselves in case it takes a while?

It really does take a while--supplies seem to be pretty constrained right now. My MBP (15" matte, 2.2, 160 GB 5400 rpm drive) was ordered on August 14; it isn't due to arrive until next week.

UPDATE:

I found another apple store that should be getting them in stock between now and Monday. So I canceled the order on the website, and I'll get one from this store.

Commuting all the way down to braintree will be a royale pain. But it must be done!

WOOT I got my Macbook Pro. They had one in Cambridge. So I finally own my first mac yay.
