This is the first problem I have experienced since switching to mac, and it is pretty terrible. Basically, after I put my mac to sleep, 90% of the time to use it again I have to restart it because of the problems after waking up.

I posted a thread on the apple support forums, HERE.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I am going to call apple tomorrow and see if they have an suggestions.

If anyone else is experiencing this, please post about it. Anyone done anything that might fix it? Or do we have to wait until 10.5.n? When will there be a leopard update?

thanks.

Yup

I have issues as well. Once it failed to wake up properly and I had to hard reset the machine. Since then I have found that if I just wait long enough (about 2mins!!) after hitting a key, my screensaver password dialog will come up eventually, but it takes so long!

To clarify, I run my MBP primarily in closed lid mode with a 30" ACD, bluetooth keyboard and mouse. After hitting a key / moving mouse to wake system, screen comes alive and I get a pinwheel for 1-2 mins before anything comes up besides a black screen with a pinwheeling cursor.

Annoying and I hope there is a fix soon!
