[MBP]something keeps making noise each time i press the power button

so it seems like either the HDD or the processor will sound a noise each time i press the power button ( to start Mac and even when waking it from sleep )

is that supposed to be a normal or something is wrong in the hardware?

Its likely just the optical drive checking for a disk, which is normal

hmm okay its good to know its not a defect whatsoeva

because none of the voice from the sample matches my optical drive sound

but again, i think every MBP could have a different optical drive manufacturers and they all sounds not alike in their buzzing sounds

I'd be worried if the machine doesn't make any kind of (subtle) noise when I turn it on.

it's because the noise the optic drive made is not as quite as the old G4 im using

the noise the optic drive made is kinda alittle loud and not as smooth sounded as on the "Waking the computer from sleep" sample sounds

are any of your MBP optic drive sounds just like the one on the sample? or varied?
