Just received my MBP SR. Being using PC all my life and I just switched.
Was trying to use the Office test drive. Clicked on Entourage. Icon blink and program doesn't install.
Brought it in to Apple store (3 hrs wait) and the Genius found another problem (kernel panicking from external hard drive).
The next day, I called Apple care and go thru the steps, but still doesn't solve the problem. They said I need my CD to reinstall but I don't have my CD at that time.
Today, I drove to an authorized apple service center and they said it's definetely hardware issue if kernel panicking from external HD.
I call in Apple care again to have this replaced, but they said it has to be repaired first. I do not want it repaired as I will be charge if it's software issue. I don't feel it's fair to change me for something which I just receive and has software issue with pre-installed software.
And Apple canada do not have mail-in repair.
So basically, I'm stuck. I can either drive down to US to have it replaced, but this is a customized MBP so the store probably won't be able to replace it.
What should I do? Maybe I should have sticked to PC.
