I'm still within my two week return window, so I'm noticing everything that might be a problem. I recently posted that my 15 inch MBP SR mysteriously booted up when I simply plugged in the MagSafe adapter. (The computer was off and not sleeping.) I did an SMC reset, and so far that hasn't happened again. Apple Support just told me to monitor the situation. Yesterday, I shut down the computer and noticed that the LED on the MagSafe adapter plug was not on even though it was still plugged in. (It had been green when I booted up, and the battery was fully charged.) When I rebooted the computer, the LED remained off but the computer showed that the adapter was connected. When I disconnected and reconnected the adapter, the LED turned green.

I don't know if this is a power adapter issue, logic board issue or software issue. Any ideas?

this occasionally happens with my g2 MBP. The light is on, but it is extremely faint, and looks almost off from the casual glance. The MBP says its still plugged in, and only the removal and reapplication of the adapter causes the light to return.

my 3 week old sr mbp magsafe does the same thing. faint green light but says its charging. disconnecting and reconnecting rectifies the problem. Should I be concerned?
