With 4 gigs of RAM a 2.4 ghz processor and the 8600GT the new MBP should be able to handle most games in STEAM on windows right?

I am talkign about stuff like Medieval Total War 2, Half Life 2, Team Fortress, Counter-Strike Source, Day of Defeat, ect...

Also, what are my chances of even being able to run crysis at all on this machine?

Thanks

last question, for boot camp, Windows XP or Windows Vista?

Yes, you should be able to run most games in STEAM. Crysis might work, since you have a direct X-10 cart=8600 GT, but I doubt you will be able to run it on high detail though :s.
As for bootcamp, you should go for Windows XP, it's very stable and all your games will work on it. Vista has some driver issues and might not run all your games :s

;)

Thanks, and I suppose that XP is a lot more stable plus I can buy it from new egg for around $80 which is a LOT less expensive.

Will Crysis be able to run in XP?

Will Crysis be able to run in XP?
I'm pretty sure it will run, but it will not utilize DX10 graphics offered by your DX10 8600m gt unless you install Windows Vista. It will be limited to DX9 graphics, which MAY perform better.

When Crysis comes out, people like us with 8600m gt's running Boot Camping XP should give a look to how the DX10 performs in Crysis. If its really nice and not as deadly to framerates like it is to the very few recent DX10 examples, we might want to switch to Vista at that point in time.
