When the superdrive in my MBP spins fast, it gets extremely loud, and sometimes sounds as if something were caught in it, like the sound when there was something caught in my fan. Thanks for any help.

It's difficult to troubleshoot a sound issue over a forum because we can't really hear the problem. If you're still covered by AppleCare, then take it back to a technician and see what they have to say. In my experience, they do bugger all with louder-than-normal computers. Good luck. :)

MB is loud too.

My MB's superdrive is loud too. Some cds are fine, but other it is so loud it is hard to hear much else. I totally know what you mean. Mine sounds like a very loud vibration. But only on some cds, most cds are fine.
