well, my new MBP takes over 45 seconds to go to sleep (from the time I close the lid), which seems to be pretty long, considering that it used to take about 10 seconds before.
I did install and uninstall tons of programs on the machine, and initially, I thought that the slowness was due to fragmentation of the drive. But I was informed by the discussion board members that defragmentation has nothing to do with it.... in a pretty informative way
Right now, my MBP only has those softwares installed which came with it- nothing extra.
The hibernation mode is #3. I did try to change it to #0, but that did not make a difference. I have it switched back to #3.
Please help me get my MBP to sleep faster! Thanks!
