So I am looking for a little advice I had ordered a maxed out 1.83 MacBook Pro, which is of course now a 2.0. I am wonddering if I should spring for the 2.16ghz upgrade, as i have every other option. Mind you this is a $270 upgrade (Ed discount). Suggestions?

If you just have money lying around with no place to go, I guess you could have this "maxed out" machine. However, its going to be such a small improvement, for $270. I would never want to give up $270, for that small speed increase. Nevertheless, some people want the best.

The 2.0 machine is going to fly though, so you really should love it the way it is.

no real need to have multiple threads asking this question...

but anyway, I don't think it will make a noticable difference in daily use. But who can fathom what drives us to need "the best of the best?" ;)

Go for it. Since you already max out on everything, might as well use that $270 on it. I would do the same just to have the little extra speed.

It comes out to almost $3,000 even, educational price right?
Thats about the same price I paid for my TiBook many years ago.
