Has anyone recently seen their MBP turn jerky (say in the last week). I think it is something to do with the iStatpro which I have uninstalled but the problem is still there periodically.

Hey,

I had the exact problem your having, when I had iStat PRO installed, my MacBook Pro (2.4ghz 2gb) would fail to wake up from sleep until a couple of minutes, then when it did wake up everything was laggy from the trackpad to opening Dashboard.

I removed iStat Pro and rebooted and everything has been fine!

REMOVE ISTAT PRO!

I just installed iStat Pro and experienced the sleep issues as well as the erratic trackpad. I was really worried about my computer and didn't even make the connection with the widget. Stumbled upon this thread, removed iStat and all is well.

are we talking about istat in dashboard or what?

iStat Pro suddenly got problematic a few months back with a particular update. I switched back to the previous version and all has been well :).
