MBP Trouble buying

Ok I am stuck between two retailers: Amazon and Apple.

With Apple Education, a 2.16 GHz MBP w/ glossy screen, free shipping, and tax is about $1,911.

Amazon.com has a 2.16 GHz MBP w/o glossy, but no tax and free shipping - $1,850

I am stuck. Essentially, I'm paying $61 dollars more for a glossy screen. Which should I choose?! This is kinda related to the glossy vs. matte battle.

Well, which do you prefer? The tone of your post implies you prefer the glossy, in which case get it. The screen is the part of the laptop that you'll be staring at the most, so it's pretty important to get the one you want, even if it costs $61 more.

I agree with the mad jew. If you like the glossy you should get it even if it costs a little more. If it doesn't matter, I would recommend amazon highly. they have great prices, free shipping and a superb return policy with no hassles.

Go glossy. I had a matte one and traded it back. I love my glossy mbp. It's way better to look at and it's far easier to clean. Cheers, tommy
