MBP wake from sleep issue

Hi,

I have a MBP here with the 8600 nvidia card. (latest refresh i think)

When the battery runs out, i find that it's very had/impossible to get the machine to wake. I have to remove the battery/ hold down the power button and sometimes then that doesn't even work and i have to try hours later!

Is there a fix, or does it need to go back to Apple? It's running 10.4.11.

Do a search here and at apples website, you will find numerous postings and threads on this one. I also was suffering with this and it turned out to be a software issue that I uninstalled. All is good so for (BTW IStat was the issue)

yep istat is the culprit, i just removed it 4 days ago and my MBP has been working perfect ever since. its a shame cause istat has soooo much useful info...i wonder if they know about this?
