Ive noticed that on my SR MBP that when I start to close the screen the image kind of jumps or I see white lines going across it for like 2 seconds, any idea what this is?

internal video cable coming lose, most likely, apple store time.

Is there any way I tell that this is definitely the problem, the apple store is like 40 mins away by train so its a pain to go.

Ps: It only happens rarely its not on every open or close.

What's your warranty situation? If you're keeping backups you could just wait until it becomes a problem. If it's still happening when your warranty gets close to running out, I'd take it in though.
