My 2018 MBP has been great until yesterday when I plugged in the laptop to charge overnight. Today, the battery wasn’t charged. I tried several wall warts and cables (to include Apple’s). The battery is ran down now. The screen gives me the “plug your laptop in your battery is dead” image. I recently did a battery analysis, and it came back the battery is in good condition. Any help?

since you tried using different cable, plug and a different outlet so I guess at this point speak to Apple

Not much more you can do if you tried different cables, different adapters, different outlets and even different ports in the MBP itself. Time to contact Apple (Or other device provider)

I used a volt meter to see if the charging circuits were functioning correctly. From what I read, if they are not, the voltage will stay around 5. If they are, then it will go to around 20. You can see here that the Mac is at least trying to charge itself. I’m not sure this helps, but putting it out there for more information.

Again, I would advise you visit Apple and have them diagnose it. Power issues are tough to figure out and usually turn out to be hardware related even if software was just updated.

Well, at you guy’s advise, I setup an appointment with apple. Just a bit ago, I hit the power button on the MBP as I was walking by, and it started right up and showed a fully charged battery. I’m dumbfounded.

The power button is okay? If you already have an appointment take it to Apple and let a technician check the system logs - you can take a look via console yourself of course.
