I have terrible audio glitching with my Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2 bluetooth speakers, especially when working in "stereo paired" mode. This mode allows you to use two speakers by joining them (by pressing buttons on the speaker) to form a stereo pair. This only uses a single Bluetooth connection from the computer, and I assume the wireless pairing uses a proprietary protocol between the speakers.
This works very well from my iPad Pro, but with my 2021 MBP14 I get frequent glitching when using the computer at the same time. At first I thought it might be interference from my bluetooth keyboard and trackpad (both Apple), but the issue occurs even when using the laptop alone, with no other bluetooth devices connected.
It's also not based on my location or wifi network - I get the same problem in other places.
Has anyone noticed problems with Bluetooth devices when using the MBP14 and listening to audio at the same time. It makes it unusable, which is a shame. It's definitely bluetooth related, because there are no issues with the audio stream using wired headphones. I *may* have also had occasional issues with my old Bose QC35 bluetooth headphones, but not nearly to same degree.
It might just be a combination of the stereo pairing of the Wonderboom 2 speakers with the MBP14, but this does not occur with other devices, so this seems less likely.
It looks like option to reset the Bluetooth system has disappeared in macOS Ventura, but maybe I can do this from the Terminal.
