Hi Macrumors,
I have a new MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports) since a couple of months, three weeks ago it suddenly stopped charging. I quickly found out that the USB-C USB-C charging cable had failed. A quick trip to the store and they replaced it. Now, just a few weeks since I got the new cable, it failed again. I went back to the store and got a new, again. The genius told me that it has seen an increasing number of new USB-C cables failing. I am starting to wonder whether the problem is the adapter or even the MBP, sort of “killing” the cables. Have you heard anything like that in the last weeks/months? Is there maybe something bigger going on?
