I bought a second hand MBPr 2015 A1502 (13in) with broken screen to get the board to repair mine.

Since the screen was broken I did not bother checking the internal keyboard, I did try booting, and SMC reset and so on with external display and everything worked.

Now, I put that on my old computer and I noticed that while everything works, the internal keyboard doesn't (haven't plugged trackpad yet). I then reinstalled on the broken screen case, and actually it is the same, so it does not look like it would be the keyboard.

The board is pristine, no signs of water damage or other things, except some dirt on the fan.

Am I doing something wrong with plugging the internal keyboard ? Is it a tricky thing to do ? It fits right in both cases.

I disassembled everything, and reassembled back and it is now working, apparently the trackpad cable is required to have the internal keyboard work
