I installed Yosemite when the public beta was released. Had no problems, but today, it won't start up at all. I press the power button and the screen back light comes on, but nothing else happens. Has this happened to anyone else? Were they able to resolve it? I'm guessing the apple store won't touch it due to the beta software?

They should be able to help you with it. From the public beta website:

"Will installing the pre-release software from the OS X Beta Program void my hardware warranty?
No, installing the beta software does not void your hardware warranty."

Thank you, you were quite right. I gave them a call, and a NVRAM reset sorted me out. I had plugged my mac into my tv last night to watch a movie, and it seems the change in resolution had caused the problem. All sorted now tho :)
