My @me address has stopped sending email and receiving from several sources that it formerly trusted. It's not an account or authentication error since emails from other sources, albeit much reduced, are coming through fine. I've used the same address since I began using iOS on my iPhone 3GS.

Emails from my own mother (who uses iCloud), newsletter updates from an architecture site, Amazon.com notifications, etc.

It's not going in my spam/junk bin, there are no rules to be messing things up.... super frustrating because it used to be so fast and stable.

Any clue as to why emails that *used to receive* are no longer receiving my mail, and vice versa?

:?

I just came across this and I happen to deal with email delivery a lot for work.

Short answer: email sucks.

Slightly longer answer: It could be soooo many things! If you haven't contacted Apple already I would try that, and make sure to provide them a message ID or email headers from an email that you should have received (maybe from one of the emails that your mother sent).

A bunch of us were discussing Macrumors on Twitter and I decided to peak back in. :)

If it helps, the fact that this is happening with emails coming from iCloud as well should help them track down the issue. When it's missing emails between two different email providers often they'll both go "everything looks fine on our end!¯\_(ツ)_/¯". :p
