What are the advantages/disadvantages? I'm still a bit confused. Would it be feasible to move all my google apps functioning over to iCloud, or carry both @me and gmail?

I would like to move everything from Google as well. I wanted to do this with mobile me but it just wasn't up to par in my opinion. I have logged on to iCloud, but do not have email enabled yet. Does the iCloud web mail interface offer any improvements over mobileme, or is it basically exactly the same?

I've been very happy with Google Sync for the last 2 years. It works very well, but of course there are some _very minor_ incompatibilities.

With iCloud now offering same functionality from the same company that makes the iPhone hardware/software, I have this difficult decision as well. :/

I guess I'll give it a try and see if switching is possible.

I moved my contacts and calendar from Google to iCloud, and I'm forwarding my Gmail to iCloud as well. So far, everything is working very well, but I'm keeping an eye out for how reliable and stable the service is going forward. If it goes down often or is slow, I will have no problem going back to Google.

I've been playing with this fir a while and I am currently using google services, as my mobile me was flaky.

When ios5 and cloud are released I will watch how things go before moving over.
