@me emails not being received on laptop

Recently set up an @me address, and has been working OK for about 3 weeks. Mail has been received both on Macbook Pro and iPad, but for some reason these past 24 hours, messages have not been delivered to lap top but have been delivered to iPad. Why? Nothing too technical please, as I may not understand.

I think I have sorted my problem. For some reason my iCloud account (on Macbook) was off line. All I had to do was put it on line and all the overdue emails arrived.

Delete the account from the MacBook and reinstall it.
