@me & @icloud email changes

I just noticed that in Mail it gives me an option now to "send from" my apple ID @icloud.com along with the @me.com. When I do send from or to @icloud.com I get an error message.

I know all @me.com accounts were going to be changed to @icloud.com. Has that happened already, and how can I start using the @icloud address?

They should work in sync with each other, like "name@me.com or name@icloud.com" should both send and receive like they were the same address.

I have not tried sending anything with my iCloud address yet so I can't say I've run across the same problem. I'll give it a shot in a bit and report back if I have any problems as well.

***Actually I just sent myself a test email from my @icloud.com to my @me.com address and it sent and received, I then switched and sent from @me to @icloud and that one sent and received. Not sure what to tell you from this point.***

You might want to wait a day or to and try again. I have read other posts from people saying the new iCloud addresses appeared but are not working yet.

I just tried mine and it worked though.
