.me pros and cons?

I have a gmail account and like it. I created a .me account.

What are the pros and cons of a .me account and how is it better than gmail, if better?

The only Pro that I could possibly think of is that a "me" account is slightly simpler to configure on Apple products. If you are established already with gmail, you'd be crazy to switch.

I use gmail as well, and love it. I turned Mail sync on in iCloud, and set up a .me account, but have since turned it off again. Don't think I need to backup my email, as it's already backed up on gmail.
