I used to own an AppleTV, but now I use Medialink and PS3. When I used AppleTV, I converted my movies using Handbrake into AppleTV format. The AppleTV format produced .m4v files. Unfortunately, Medialink and PS3 do not support .m4v files. What is the best way to convert .m4v files into a file format Medialink likes without losing quality?

Thanks.

I changed the file name to .mp4 and I still get an error message within Medialink and PS3

Does anyone have any answers for me?

Thanks.

Fisrt of all DROP MEDIALINK!! it is crap,

instead download for free (ps3 only)

the best for ps3 and streaming!

transcoding settings tab, common transcoding settings, (on left side of transcode settings tab) bottom of the transcode settings screen (posted below) force transcode for the following extensions: add any m4v,mp4, anything and it will play it!! turns it into an mpeg-2

i have a lot of appletv handbrake videos and they all look, nd play awesome!!

trying to play .m4v

I have both medialink and the ps3 media serve. I recently bought some movies in itunes that i want to play on my ps3 but i havent had any luck. The files are .m4v and the ps3 wont play em. I was wondering if there were anyway to convert the files so they will play on my ps3. Any ideas?

Media link

I used to use this software before I upgraded my netflix account to blu-ray:)

Encoded movies using Handbrake set at the 'PS3' preset and all was dandy.

The movies from iTunes won't play because of the DRM if I'm correct.
