This is on a 2018 12.9 IPP

I'm a dialysis patient (home, peritoneal) and the doctors/nurses are allowing me to control my own treatments at home (I *HATE* hospitals).

I've got to balance weight, fluid intake, fluid buildup, blood pressure, diet and choice of strength of dialysis solutions. The good days far outnumber the not so good. But the doctors/nurses always have questions about what I've done (just like with all patients who do this I guess). Rather than try to remember what I've done during the preceding weeks/months I show them on my IPP. Complete data in Notabilty and Google Sheets. No need to whip out a binder full of papers

Frequently they want me to or suggest changes. Rather than write them down, I briefly explain the Apple pencil, hand it to them and they seem pleased that they can write down information which they know will be kept and/or stored/classified. No more handwritten notes. One was concerned about the legibility of their handwriting and I said let's try text to word conversion. They be pleased.

So they are now expecting me to bring my IPP 👌👍🏻 They can give me instructions/suggestions as detailed as they want and they know it's going to be retained.

In my opinion, priceless. If I dropped my 'toy' as they first termed it, I'd buy another one tomorrow.

Tom - and yes, this has changed how I store information at home. Haven't used Office or Neo-Office in 1/2 year or more.

I love to hear stories like these. 😁

That’s awesome, Tom. I’m so glad it helped you. Some people email these types of stores directly to Tim Cook. I’d suggest doing the same. It’s great you found a way to make the tech to make your life easier.

Done, thanks for the suggestion. I never would have thought of that. Also slowly converting all lights and sockets to smart/wifi - trying to think ahead for when I won't be able to climb a ladder, etc. It's the difference between keeping my own place (and dog/cats) or moving into a condo. Just doorlocks, a thermostat and a couple of security cameras to add....until Apple comes out with something else 😀

Tom

edit #1 Using the Apple Pencil (gen 1 or 2) to grab screenshots of nutritional labels makes it easy to present information to the medical people about what I am/may be eating. Having the ability to mark up questionable nutritional content from a label allows the medical people to easily give me a yes/no answer about it being ok or not ok to eat
