For some reason Medications Reminders stopped showing up on my Apple Watch Ultra. They still appear on my iPhone 14. I can still log the medications as taken if I go to the Medications app on the watch. I've tried restarting both devices. I tried adding a new (dummy) medication to the Health app. But none of that worked.

Any ideas?

Did mirror notifications get turned off in watch app on your iPhone for Health app or your medication app?

Mirror iPhone Alerts is ON for the Health app. There is no entry for the Medications app in the Notifications section of the Watch settings.

Am I correct in noting that Medications is a separate app on the watch, but included in the Health app on the iPhone?

Correct.

No issues with my medication alerts on my phone or watch. Must be an isolated issue

Yep. Weird because it worked consistently since January when I first had to start taking a prescription medication. Then it just suddenly stopped working on the watch a couple of days ago. Still working on the iPhone.

Have you tried restarting the watch to clear any issues that may have developed?

I also use a separate medication app Medisafe. I had been using it before the Apple Health app came about and just kept using for redundancy. Also getting 2 separate notifications keeps me on point.

Apologies….. missed. 👍
No worries.

What I’ve done now is add another medication width a completely different time. That reminder appeared on the watch.

Now I wait to see if that addition will kick-start reminders for my 8:15AM meds.

Well, that didn't work, but here's what did:

I changed the time of all the 8:15 AM medications to 8:20 AM. Watch notifications have resumed.

We'll never know why.

That would indicate to me the original instruction became corrupt. Inserting/updating the time passed the new instruction along the chain, thus breaking the corruption.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t a persistent fix. Today, no Medication reminders on the watch; only on the iPhone.

My setup is exactly as described in the article with the exception of Focus. The only Focus I use is Do Not Disturb and that is set to be daily from 8:30 PM to 5:30 AM. No medications are scheduled for that period. I did not have Notifications allowed from any apps except for Time Sensitive Notifications (which should include Medications). I have now added Health to Allow Notifications From.

This is all incredibly frustrating. Yesterday I got Medications Reminders on both my Watch and iPhone. Today, I only got Medications Reminders on my iPhone, not my Watch.

Since I had already set up medication reminders using the Reminders app which worked very well, I think I'll give up on the Medications app/Health app section, and just rely on the Reminders app. It always works while Medications Reminders has turned out to be surprisingly unreliable.

The only occasion I remember when medication reminders do not come through automatically to my watch is when my phone is switched on. They are found later in the Watch by pulling down and scrolling through the reminders.

That’s not the case here. I did pull down on the Watch, but there were no reminders at all. The only one that should have been there was the Medications reminder.

I had that for a week or so on my series 8 then as suddenly as they quit the medication reminders started up again. I think it is a bug in the software. My phone never stopped reminding me in notifications

Thank you. At least now I know I'm not alone.

I also think this is a iOS 17 bug. I’m getting the notifications on my watch but only after the iPhone.
iPhone notifications come in first then a 10 second to 2 minute delay and the watch will alert.

I hope this gets sorted out on the release version of iOS 17/watchOS 10. My medication reminders are (fortunately) still working as of iOS 16.whatever we're on now.
