Medium write error??

I am trying to burn a DVD, using Iskysoft media converter. I am using Memorex DVD-R,OPTIARC DVD RW AD-5680H:.

Any Ideas?

If the DVD R is shot, would a USB Superdrive work?

I'm guessing that the Memorex media is the culprit. I've had much better success with Verbatim media: more expensive initially but no coasters.
