Memory. 2GB now + 2GB later = matched?

if I buy a 2GB stick now, and 2GB later of the same brand, would they be "matched"? i'm not sure what matched is.

i'm thinking of adding a 2GB stick to one of my 512MB sticks because that's what i can afford right now (i'm broke after buying my new macbook). good idea?

I would suggest getting the 2x2gb kit from Kingston. I ordered it a few weeks ago and it only cost me 96$ + shipping.
