Memory card not working

Hey everyone,

I have a Sony camera I bought a year ago with 256mb memory card I bought at the same time as the camera. However, right now I am not getting the same amount of pictures I use to get out of the video card. I use to get around 50 with all the pictures taken in 5megapixels, and a week ago I got 16, and now its down to 3 or less.

What may be the problem here? Do I need a new card?

Make sure you're not putting it in your Mac and moving the files to the trash without emptying the trash before you eject it.

Format the card in your camera.

How would I go about doing that?

Somewhere in the menu there will be an option to format the card. Not sure where as I've never used a Sony camera.

Oh and once you find out where it is in the menu, use that to delete pictures from your card. After you download them to the computer, put it back in your camera and just format it instead of asking iphoto to delete them or something.
