Hey all - I just replaced my hard drive last night.. took forever. the three screws in the battery compartment are the most small and most difficult screws to take out. Well I replaced the 12'' powerbooks hard drive and the only sign of life is that when I press my power button I can see that there is electricity only by sign of the caps lock light, otherwise nothing else happens.

i can turn it on and off, but the whole system wont turn on. does anyone have any advice

the computer will turn on when i play with the black screw in the memory area.. i can't get the computer to stay on. now it seems to be that if the case is completely sealed my computer wont turn on

That little screw inside the memory door should be holding down this little metal tab thing. Make sure that the part of that tab that sticks up is touching the memory door when it is closed. You may need to bend it out a bit.
