Hey all, I have seen screenshots like this here and there. can someone tell me what app - utility - or theme this is to get the memory info next to the clock?

WOW Awesome, it was right here on my phone the whole time.. Thankyou!!

note: it's hardly ever accurate. If you read that one, then open the SBSettings panel up, both will tell you a different amount of free Mem.

I dont think sbs drains your battery faster, and its real close to being accurate on ready your memory.

I agree, I haven't noticed a significant change in battery performance.

Maybe my phone is defective then, because it's *never* the same number in the SBSettings pane and the top bar.
rightnow my top bar says 28 mb, while my pane says 37.

off by 9megs when you really only have what, 40 free max, is a lot:)

With nothing running via backgrounder I generally have at least 130 MB free on my 3GS. I've seen it go to as low as 80 when I'm running iPod/Navigon/Trapster simultaneously in addition to the standard Mail, Safari, and Phone.

This seems to have been fixed in the latest sbsettings version 3.04.

With SBSettings and Light Winterboard Theming. Obviously that includes MobileSubstrate.

3G phones will have 35-40 after a respring.

3GS will have 150+.

My 3GS has 140 with Matte icon theme, Matte UI theme, SBSettings, and MobileStack.

I haven't turned on StatusBar Memory since I got my 3GS because I just don't have to worry about it. Which is the reason I upgraded.

Thank you. This is exactly what I wanted to know. :)

which number is the accurate one
they all say a different memory free number

memoryinfo
sbsettings
MemTool

which one is the accurate one?

Using applications will consume more memory. Best to use SBSettings which runs in the background.
no that wasnt my question

those 3 apps can show you how much free memory you have

and they all say something different

like sbsettings says 40mb
memoryinfo says 26mb
Memtool says 35mb

which of these is the most accurate one
