Hi everyone,

I recently purchased 2x 4GB DDR3 Crucial 1600MT/s. The installation went smoothly except for a few stripped screws. I purchased the sticks without thinking about the 1600MT/s part and I read at the bottom of the Amazon sale page and it stated Not Mac Compatible. Should I be concerned? The Late 2012 MacBook Pro seems to work fine though.

I appreciate your help!

DDR3 memory used in a Windows laptop should be compatible with a Macbook that uses the same type of memory.

I was using 2x8 ddr3L crucial in a mid-2012 for months with no problems. This ram product description did not mention anything about Macbook compatibility.

Hi Audia 13,

Was the RAM operating at 1600MHz or 1333MHz?
