I am planning to upgrade RAM on my iMac early 2009 to 8GB.
Checked Data Memory Systems and OWC (macsales) sites. Prices are comparative. DMS says its original Samsung RAM but OWC does not say as such.

I could get from either but since OWC has rebate program where I can return my currently installed RAM. So was wondering if experts here have any suggestion.

DMS: http://www.datamemorysystems.com/_apple_info/Apple_Aluminum_Intel_Core_2_Duo_iMac_1531.asp#

OWC: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other World Computing/8566DDR3S8GP/

Thx

+1 for OWC.
Great customer service. Great prices. Definitely know Mac.

Upgrading memory does not void applecare. However, your new memory is not covered by applecare. I'd keep the old memory so that if you ever have to return it to apple put the old memory in.
